Frequently Asked Questions...
RF-602 Wireless Remote and TTL Flash ?
At the moment i have a Nissin Di622 and its TTL.
I am going to by the RF-602 Wireless Remote but would a TTL flash work on it, i am going to get a YN560 flash and aparently that flash works with that remote.
Is the RF-602 completely wireless only, on the pic, they show three cables, what are they for.
Do i simply have to put the trigger on the camera hot shoe, and the trigger on the flash, and will it work, What needs to be done to get the flash fully functional ?
Thanks
Answer:
No the RF602 will not transmit TTL signals - it's for purely manual flash only. The RF602's don't work the older versions of the Di622 (I know, I had one). They MIGHT work newer versions, but again only in manual, not TTL.
The transmitter sits on the hotshoe of your camera
The receiver slots onto the flash hotshoe 'foot'. You have the YN560 in M mode. You can adjust the power output in steps from 1/1 (full) down to 1/128 and with steps in between each of those. You can also adjust the flash head 'zoom' from (I think) 24mm to 105mm coverage.
You don't need any cable to work the off camera flash.
Optional cables you might get are to operate a STUDIO strobe (the RF602 receiver can fire a studio flash with a cable connector) and also the RF602 can act as a remote release for the camera's SHUTTER, and you need a cable for that.
