The AKG C414XLII is a large-diaphragm, multi-pattern capacitor microphone that not only lives up to the proud C 414 reputation but enhances it. AKG have made some real technical and practical improvements with the C 414 XL II whilst still offering value for money.
The AKG C 414 XL II is suitable for the most challenging recording jobs with the microphones impressive sensitivity, extended dynamic range and low background noise. The new C 414’s electronic circuitry has been re-engineered to extend the dynamic range to around 134dBA by maximising headroom and minimising self-noise (capped at a notable 6dBA).
